About me

As a child, I could look at anything and see its beauty. The lines, the colors, the textures always fascinated me.
I could sit for hours drawing, I would grab a pencil scribble a continuous line and see what it became.
By forth grade, I’d done my first portrait, my best friend laying on her bed reading, as I sat drawing.
By Middle school aka Jr High, my design was picked for a mural celebrating the Bicentennial.
By High school, more murals I designed were picked to be painted at children’s hospital, and I got to oversee it.
My science teachers traded grades for intricate pen and ink drawings from microscopic views, plants, and more.

Although they loved my artwork, my parents didn’t support it, and chose for me to study nursing in college.
After 2 1/2 years in, with a minor in Biology, I was out of there! Even my nursing instructors said I was too sensitive, too caring- not cut out for it.
Finally my parents let me finsh my degree in fine art. BFA from University of Miami in Printmaking.

Then life took a turn, I fell in love, got married, had 2 beautiful children.
I had shifted my priorities to paying mortgages, changing diapers and teaching my little monsters to be good human beings.
Well they are and I am back to an empty nest, my honey here by my side, my daughter’s old bedroom now my artroom.

Now, I am a hobbyist artist, I create art primarily for personal enjoyment, relaxation, and self expression.
My art is not driven by the need to sell or make a living. I create art when I feel inspired.
I want to share my work as an extension of my inspirations, buddhist beliefs and my meditations .
I gift myself the freedom to experiment with different styles, media, and subjects without pressure or expectation, but for the sheer joy in the moment.
I feel the beauty of life’s every moment, in the depth of my soul, and experience it in every step of the path we call life.
